Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition
A private acquisition vehicle seeking one outstanding company whose next chapter deserves a committed and capable owner.
AstoriaHolding.comThe House of Astoria
Astoria Holding is a privately held acquisition vehicle operating under the ETA — Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition — model. Unlike a fund with a fixed mandate and a portfolio to rotate, Astoria exists for a single, deliberate purpose: to identify one excellent business and become its next devoted steward.
We are not passive investors. We are operators. Once an acquisition is completed, the founder of Astoria Holding assumes the role of chief executive and leads the company with full personal accountability — attending to every employee, every client relationship, and every strategic decision.
This is a commitment measured in decades, not quarters.
Singular focus — no portfolio, no distraction, no competing priorities.
The acquirer becomes the CEO. Fully aligned, fully committed.
We intend to own and grow the business for five, ten, twenty years.
The brand, the people, and the culture you built will be protected.
The principal
Astoria Holding is led by Marco Georg, a business development and strategy executive with more than sixteen years of experience across Asia and Europe in leadership, commercial growth, strategic partnerships, and transaction execution.
His background combines operating responsibility with analytical rigour. Most recently, Marco served at Zuellig Pharma in Hong Kong, where he led a business unit with full P&L responsibility, advised senior leadership on strategic initiatives, and worked across business transformation, market assessments, and growth planning in one of Asia's leading healthcare services groups.
Earlier in his career, he worked on acquisition integration and digital business expansion at DKSH in China, supported investment and valuation work at The Zuellig Group, and built businesses directly as a founder and operator in cross-border commercial ventures.
That combination matters. Astoria Holding is not being built by a passive financial sponsor, but by an operator who understands transactions, respects execution, and intends to assume direct responsibility after acquisition.
Marco's academic background includes a Master of Public Health from The University of Hong Kong, an MBA from HKUST with a finance and investments focus, a Master of Advanced Management from Yale, and a bachelor's degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Through AstoriaHolding.com, he is seeking to acquire one exceptional business and steward it over the long term with discipline, care, and full personal accountability.
Our philosophy
Astoria Holding was created around a simple idea: the right business should be acquired by the right steward. We believe ownership works best when the acquirer is deeply committed, operationally engaged, and aligned with the long-term health of the company rather than the demands of a short investment cycle.
We are seeking one business, not a portfolio. Our attention is not divided, our incentives are not transient, and our ambition is to build enduring value over many years.
A business is more than a set of financial statements. It is a reputation, a culture, a team, and a web of relationships developed over time. We aim to preserve what makes a company worth owning in the first place.
We believe in disciplined growth: thoughtful commercial expansion, operational improvement, careful capital allocation, and decisions that strengthen the enterprise rather than simply optimise it for resale.
"The ETA model uniquely aligns the interests of founders, investors, and operators — placing a committed individual at the helm rather than a distant committee."

Where we are most useful
While every business is different, Astoria Holding is especially well suited to situations where continuity, judgment, and long-term stewardship matter as much as valuation.
Founder-led and family-owned businesses where the owner is approaching retirement and wants a capable successor rather than a purely financial buyer.
Businesses with strong fundamentals but no clear internal successor ready to assume leadership for the next chapter.
Owners who want a thoughtful transition process, with discretion, respect for employees, and sensitivity toward clients, suppliers, and long-standing relationships.
Stable, profitable businesses that would benefit from a hands-on owner able to focus on growth, execution, and strategic follow-through.
Supported with care
Astoria Holding combines operator-led ownership with access to experienced investors, advisors, and transaction professionals. The objective is to pair personal accountability at the operating level with thoughtful support around diligence, structuring, and execution.
Where appropriate, additional details regarding capital partners and advisors may be shared in the course of a serious conversation.
For business owners
We are decisive, well-capitalised buyers. No committees, no investment panels, no revolving doors. Once we express interest, we move with the seriousness and urgency the situation deserves.
We acquire to operate, not to strip or resell. The brand you spent decades building, the team you assembled, and the relationships you cultivated — these are what we are buying, and we honour them.
We are open to seller financing, earnouts, staged transitions, and deferred consideration. The structure should work for your personal and financial circumstances, and we will engineer it accordingly.
All conversations are held in strict confidence. We understand that the mere knowledge of a potential sale can unsettle staff and clients, and we treat every enquiry through AstoriaHolding.com accordingly.
How we work
A confidential, no-obligation introduction. We listen first. We seek to understand your business, your timeline, and what matters most to you.
A focused, respectful review of financials, operations, and key relationships. Thorough because we are serious — not because we seek reasons to withdraw.
A clear, fair offer. We move decisively from agreement in principle to a signed LOI, entering an exclusive period and progressing without delay.
We close efficiently and manage the transition alongside you — protecting the continuity your team, clients, and suppliers have come to rely upon.
